Voice Control
MIDAS includes a "Voice Control" function which allows you to navigate and control MIDAS using just your voice.
Note: The Voice Control features of MIDAS currently only support phrases spoken in English.
If your user account has been granted permission to use this feature by an administrative user, then you'll see a icon in the main toolbar.
The first time you select this icon, your browser may alert you that MIDAS is trying to access your device's microphone. You'll need to allow/accept that prompt in order to be able to use the voice control features of MIDAS.
When the icon shows with a red line through it, MIDAS is not listening to you (your microphone is muted).
When MIDAS is listening to you (your microphone is unmuted), the icon will change to (with no red line through it).
To have MIDAS listen momentarily
- Click/Press and hold the icon.
- When the icon changes to , you can then speak to MIDAS.
- When you've finished speaking, release the icon (it'll change back to and your microphone will be muted) and MIDAS will attempt to action what you just asked.
To have MIDAS listen for longer
- Double Click/Double Press the icon.
- When the icon changes to your microphone is unmuted.
- MIDAS will listen whenever you say "Hey MIDAS" followed by your request. Once you've spoken your request MIDAS will attempt to action what you asked.
- Simply say "Hey MIDAS" again to ask further questions.
- Double click/press the icon, it'll change back , your microphone will be muted, and MIDAS will no longer respond if you say "Hey MIDAS".
What things can you ask MIDAS?
Here's a small selection of phrases you can speak to MIDAS:
- "What's on tomorrow"
- "Show me bookings for March 11th"
- "Go to March 11 2027"
- "Jump forward one week"
- "Book the guest room at 2pm"
- "Add a new booking for Jane Doe in Room 1 from 11am to 2pm"
- "Make a booking in Room 1 on June 25 from 11am to 2pm"
- "Cancel the booking in the studio tomorrow at 3pm"
- "Move the booking from the guest room at 11am to the board room"
- "Reschedule today's booking in the studio at 4pm to tomorrow"
- "Generate an invoice for the booking in Room 3 at 2pm"
- "Show me invoice MIDAS0001"
- "Find clients matching Smith"
- "Open appearance settings"
