MIDAS Documentation v4.38

Two Factor Authentication

If Two Factor Authentication (2FA) has been enabled on your account, then each time you sign-in, you'll be promoted to enter an authorization code.

2FA Sign-in Authorization Code

There are two methods of 2FA available:

  • Authenticator App
  • Email

Authenticator App

If 2FA via Authenticator App has been enabled on your account, then the first time you sign in, you'll be prompted to use an authenticator app to either scan a QR Code, or manually enter a key.

This initial setup process pairs your authenticator app with your MIDAS user account. Each time you sign in to MIDAS, you'll then need to use your authenticator app to generate a one-time access code.

If you delete/remove your authenticator app, you'll need to ask an administrative user within your MIDAS system to reset the 2FA association on your user account so that you can setup a new authenticator app the next time you sign in

Email

If 2FA via Email has been enabled on your account, then each time you sign in, a code will be sent to your email address.

You will then be prompted to enter your email address, and MIDAS will then automatically email you a password reset link.

Once you receive this email, click the password reset link contained within. You will then be prompted to enter a new password before signing into MIDAS.
