What's included in a MIDAS subscription?

We offer two editions of our MIDAS room booking system; a "cloud" hosted edition and a "self" hosted edition.

The "self" hosted edition may be downloaded, installed, and run from your own web server.

The "cloud" hosted edition is hosted on our cloud infrastructure.

Depending upon the edition chosen, the following subscriptions are relevant:

Self Hosted Edition

If you purchase a "self" hosted edition of our software (which is a one-time cost), you may also optionally take out a "Support Subscription" for a small annual fee. This subscription has the following features and benefits:

Access to software updates
We typically release significant software updates with new & improved features on average every 3-4 months! (in addition to interim maintenance updates)
Software updates can be easily downloaded and automatically applied with just a couple of clicks!

Access to Priority Support
Fast Email response whatever day of the week! ...even on weekends and Public Holidays!
Typical response times <1 hour! (See how we're performing with up-to-date response time statistics over on our Service Status site)

Cloud Hosted Edition

All "cloud" hosted subscriptions plans include the following features and benefits:

All software updates automatically applied
We typically release significant software updates with new & improved features on average every 3-4 months! (in addition to interim maintenance updates)
Cloud hosted customers will always be running the most up-to-date version of our software

Access to Priority Support
Fast Email response whatever day of the week! ...even on weekends and Public Holidays!

In summary, a MIDAS "subscription" is an integral part of a "cloud" hosted MIDAS system. For "self" hosted MIDAS systems however, the subscription component is optional, however if you choose a self hosted system, we would strongly advise considering taking out a support subscription to ensure your system remains up to date and that you have access to Priority Support.
