Over 75 new Video Tutorials available on-demand!

Over the past weekend, we’ve published nearly 80 brand new, concise, and easy to follow video tutorials… and best of all, they’re all FREE!

The original dozen or so tutorial videos we produced a number of years ago now regularly receive great praise from our customers, so we thought it was about time to overhaul and update these great resources for MIDAS users! (Along of course with complete help documentation that’s available both online and offline, an extensive Knowledge Base, and responsive support!)

These short new “How To” videos guide you step-by-step through all areas of MIDAS, and because they’re on-demand, you can watch them again and again to learn your way around MIDAS at your own pace.

We’ve broken these exciting new tutorials down into key topic areas, covering Getting Started; Bookings; Clients; Users; Venues; Printing; Email; Invoicing; Resources; Searching; Messages, Notifications, Watches, and Reminders; Public Features; Settings; Import/Export; and Security.

New Quick Tour of the User Interface

One of the things we’re really proud of is the extensive sources of help we make available to our customers.

This includes complete both online help documentation and downlodable and printable manuals (in PDF format). We also have a host of easy to follow, step-by-step video tutorials. Furthermore, we’ve complied an extensive Knowledge Base containing answers to many common questions.

In the addition to this wealth of self-help resources, for the forthcoming release of MIDAS v4.16, we’re also adding an optional “Quick Tour” of the user interface within MIDAS itself:

Upon the very first login by a user to MIDAS, they’ll be presented with an option to take a quick tour.

Quick Tour of the Booking Information Panel

The Quick Tour will outline all the key elements to their MIDAS screen, which they can step through at their own pace.

The tour will also describe the function of each toolbar icon that’s available to the user.

The Quick Tour can be closed at any point, and won’t be shown again the next time the user logs in.

Initially, the Quick Tour will only be available to new users running MIDAS under one of the English language variations. It will also only be shown on Tablet, Laptop, or Desktop devices. It won’t currently be shown on very small mobile device screens.

MIDAS v4.15 Out Now!

With Easter over for another year (and with what seems like enough chocolate to keep us going until the next!), we’re excited to announce the availability of MIDAS v4.15, our powerful web based room booking and resource scheduling software.

Here’s What’s New & Improved in v4.15

New: Public “Book Online” feature
New: Booking “Spacing” settings – maintain fixed “gaps” between bookings
New: Un-Invoiced Bookings Report
New: “Individual/Manual” or “Automatic/From Group” venue selection settings for Public Bookings/Requests
New: Password reset link validity setting
Improved: Repetitive dates generator now includes an “on the last…” option
Improved: Limit the number of bookings users can add to each calendar week
Improved: Booking Type Discounts can now accept absolute amounts as well as percentages
Improved: Booking approval entries in the Recent Activity log can now be clicked to jump to date of booking
Improved: Approved/Rejected Booking Requests now also log requested venue in Recent Activity log
Improved: User filter on Recent Activity Log now sorts alphabetically
Improved: Focusing on venue rate input auto-selects current value
Improved: Renaming/Removing a custom field will update/remove associated %CUSTOM..% variables in templates
Improved: Filename when “saving” (printing) an invoice/receipt as a .pdf file now defaults to invoice number
Security enhancements
Fixed: Cumulative roll-up of various fixes for issues discovered since v4.14

How To Get MIDAS v4.15…

New To MIDAS?

We are committed to fair and accessible pricing for all organizations regardless of size. We’re totally upfront and transparent about our pricing structure. In fact, with the affects of “Brexit”, our international prices are some 13% lower right now than they were 12 months ago – so there’s never been a better time to buy!

“Self Hosted” Customers:

Self-Hosted customers with ongoing Annual Support Subscriptions will be able to update to v4.15 in the next few days. It only takes a couple of clicks – simply log in to your MIDAS system and go to MIDAS Admin Options → Manage MIDAS → Update

“Cloud Hosted” Customers:

Cloud-Hosted customers don’t need to do anything! – All our active Cloud-Hosted MIDAS customers have already been automatically updated to the latest version of MIDAS over Easter!

Longer trial periods and 2016 prices held or reduced!

Happy New Year!!

It’s the start of a brand-new year, 2017, and so usually it’s around this time that many businesses quietly put up their prices…

Well, not here at MIDAS!! As you may know, we’re a UK based business, and not only have we held our 2016 prices for UK customers going into 2017, but given the short term fluctuations in value of the British Pound since the UK’s decision to leave the EU back in June, our prices for non-UK customers today are actually around 14-20% LOWER than they were at this time last year!

So there’s really never been a better time to get MIDAS! Make it your new year’s resolution to get your organization’s scheduling and room bookings back on track in 2017 with MIDAS!

What’s more, in 2017 we’re extending private trial periods of our software. Most who first explore a private trial of MIDAS and go on to purchase determine that MIDAS is right for them within their two-week private trial period (in addition of course to our public demo of MIDAS – which has no time limit). However, we appreciate that due to the extensive range of capabilities of our software, some customers prefer a little longer to be able to fully explore the features that MIDAS has to offer.

That’s why in 2017 we’re increasing the length of the trial periods we offer from 14 to 30 days!
