How To Add Notes To Calendar Dates
Topics covered in this tutorial: In this tutorial I'm going to show you how you can add notes to calendar dates, which are visible to all users who then view those dates. So I'm currently on December the 25th here - which is Christmas Day - so let's add a note to say it's Christmas Day. So to add a note we click the main date heading here, and then we can add notes for this day so let's say "Christmas Day!" and Save Changes. So now whenever this date is viewed - let's just navigate to a different date, let's go to the 20th, and let's navigate back again to the 25th - you'll see the notes are displayed on-screen for all users. And we can also edit these notes as well if we wish, although there's also a user permission to prevent the editing of notes so that only certain users can add them or edit them. So we'll cancel that. So additionally if we try to add a booking to a date with notes - let's enter a booking here - you'll see on the booking availability screen there's a little warning triangle here indicating that there's notes associated with the day we wish to book. And if we hover over that icon you'll see it shows us our day notes for that date. We can also add notes across multiple dates. So let's go back to our booking grid, and you can click to dismiss those as well. Let's go back a week and let's change our day selector to 5 days. Again if we click the date heading we can add some notes and these will be added across entire dates range. So if we go back to our one day view on the 18th there's our notes. If we go to the 19th you'll see those notes are there, and also on the 20th, 21st, 22nd and then they shouldn't be there on the 23rd - and indeed they're not.
