
Terms & Conditions: Free MIDAS Trial

The following Terms & Conditions apply when you register for and activate a free trial of our MIDAS booking system:- No credit card or payment information is required to request or activate a free trial.
- There is no obligation to purchase or subscribe to MIDAS at the end of your trial period, and you won't be automatically billed.
- Our trials are fully-functioning "cloud-hosted" MIDAS systems, hosted on our servers. You can see how our cloud-hosted and self-hosted editions differ here.
- To register for and activate your free trial, we require your name, the name of the business or organization you'll be trialing our MIDAS software on behalf of, that business or organization's website, and your email address within that business or organization.
- You will need to register using your official email address within your business or organization. Trial registrations from personal or free email providers are not permitted. If your official business email address is provided through a free email provider, please contact our sales team instead to request your trial.
- Trials of our software are offered for a period of 30 continuous days from the date of activation.
- In some instances, it may be possible to request a short extension to a 30-day trial when it's nearing its expiration. There is however no guarantee that we'll be able to accommodate such extensions, as a finite number of trial "slots" are available at any given time, with priority given to new trials over any extensions to existing trials.
- Only one trial period is permitted to each individual business or organization in any given year.
- Requests for a subsequent trial for a business or organization who has previously trialed MIDAS will only be granted in exceptional circumstances. Examples that may be considered include significant new features or changes having been implemented in our software since your previous trial period ended, or a change in key personnel within your business or organization.
- Trials are provided on an "as is" basis, for evaluation purposes only, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage, including loss of data, arising out of your use of a trial MIDAS system. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- You are responsible for all activity that takes place within your trial MIDAS system, and for the users to whom you grant access. You must not use a trial MIDAS system to store, process, or transmit any unlawful material, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to or disrupt our servers or the systems of others, or for any purpose other than the genuine evaluation of our software.
- Data entered into a trial MIDAS system is kept in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.
- Where your trial MIDAS system contains personal data, you act as the "data controller" and we act as a "data processor" in respect of that data, on the same basis, and subject to the same Data Processing Agreement, as applies to our paid cloud-hosted subscriptions.
- Should you go on to purchase or subscribe to MIDAS before the end of your trial period, you may request that the data/settings entered into your trial system be made available in your new MIDAS system. This would allow you to continue in your new system from where you left off in your trial system.
- Should you go on to purchase or subscribe to MIDAS after your trial has expired, we cannot guarantee that the data/settings previously entered into your trial can be made available in your new MIDAS system. If you wish to have trial data/settings migrated into your purchased system, rather than start from scratch, you should therefore purchase or subscribe before your trial expires.
- We reserve the right to suspend access to, or terminate, a trial MIDAS system without prior notice in any of the following circumstances: where we detect, receive reports of, or are concerned about abnormal usage or suspicious activity within the trial; where such activity could degrade or otherwise adversely affect the quality of service we provide to other customers; or where we have reason to believe these Terms & Conditions have been breached.
- Where a trial system has been suspended or terminated, you will have no access to the data previously entered prior to your trial becoming suspended or terminated.
- We reserve the right to deny subsequent attempts to register for and activate trials by individuals, businesses, or organizations who have had a previous trial suspended or terminated.
- We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notification.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- By registering for and activating a free trial of our room booking and resource scheduling software, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these Terms & Conditions.
