Strawberry Perl
What is Strawberry Perl?
Strawberry Perl is a distribution of the Perl programming language designed for Microsoft Windows platforms.
It is intended to be as close as possible to a Perl environment on UNIX systems.
Strawberry Perl was first available in 2009, and is a community-driven Open Source project, that's freely available to download from strawberryperl.com.
Strawberry Perl also includes a package manager, called CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) client, which makes it easy to install and manage additional Perl modules.
If you wish to download, install, and run a self hosted edition of our MIDAS booking software on a Windows-based web server you could consider Strawberry Perl.
Strawberry Perl is one of only a very small number of available solutions for running Perl within a Windows environment. Another option is ActivePerl.
