MIDAS v4.10 Now Available!

We’re excited to tell you about our latest update to MIDAS – version v4.10 – which is now available and which boasts a number of new and improved features…

Here are the Key Features and Improvements in v4.10:

• New: Optional Two-Factor Authentication – Add an extra layer of security to your MIDAS system!
• New: Set different clients to use for booking and invoicing
• New: Support for STARTTLS authentication method for SMTP email sending
• New: %USER% variable in a custom booking field’s default value is substituted for the current user’s name when booking
• Improved: When adding resources to bookings, the resource list can now be quickly searched and filtered
• Improved: Control whether Booking Type Discounts are applied to venues, resources, or both
• Improved: Access to Invoices can be restricted to only allow users access to invoices they’ve generated/created/added
• Improved: Invoice numbers can now be shown on booking blocks/tooltips and in the Monthly Overview
• Improved: Emergency Evacuation Printouts now include client names, mobile/cell contacts, and staffing levels/locations
• Improved: Booking Type Discounts can be negative to increase the cost of certain types
• Improved: Performance when initially loading/logging in and during actions which send email
• Improved: Text area custom booking fields can now accept up to 64K characters (previously limited to 300)
• Improved: “BCC to me” email setting now remembers last setting (previously always defaulted to on)
• Fixed: Cumulative roll-up of various fixes for issues discovered since v4.09

Existing “Self-Hosted” Customers:

Existing customers running “self-hosted” editions and with a valid Annual Support Subscription may update to v4.10 from within the software right now by going to via MIDAS Admin Options → Manage MIDAS → Update.

Existing “Cloud-Hosted” Customers:

Our existing customers with active cloud-hosted editions of MIDAS don’t need to do anything – you’ve already been automatically updated to v4.10!
