How To Modify A User's Permissions
Topics covered in this tutorial: In this tutorial I'm going to show you how you can modify user permissions. Now for this example you'll see on Room 3 here I've set up some operating hours so that Room 3 is closed until 9:00 a.m. in the morning, and then closed again after 5:00 p.m. And so if I try and book outside the operating hours you'll see MIDAS won't let - it says its "Outside Operating Hours". But there is a user permission that we can assign that will allow us to override this. So to modify user permissions we go to MIDAS Admin Options. We select "Manage Users & Permissions" from the drop-down. Select the user account we're interested in modifying - in which case this is the one we're on - and I'm going to grant the "Can book outside operating hours" permission here. So I tick that box and save changes. So if I go back to the booking grid now and I try and book past 5:00 p.m. you'll see I can now do that. Now that's just an example using one user permission. Obviously as you could see from the Manage Users & Permissions screen there are an extensive range of permissions that can be assigned on a per account basis - far too many to go into detail here, but these are all covered in depth in the help documentation.
