Export Data & Reports

Exporting Data from MIDAS

Your booking data belongs to you. MIDAS makes it straightforward to export that data in a range of formats - whether you need it for a spreadsheet, a calendar application, an external reporting tool, or an archive.

What can be exported

MIDAS supports export of:
  • Bookings - the full booking history, or a filtered subset by date range, venue, or booking type
  • Clients - your client database, useful for importing into a CRM or mailing system
  • Resources - equipment, consumables, and staffing records
  • Invoice summaries - financial data for accounting or reconciliation purposes
  • Reports - statistical report output in spreadsheet format

Export formats

Depending on the data type, MIDAS exports to:
  • Excel (.xlsx) - for spreadsheet analysis or import into other systems
  • CSV - a plain-text format compatible with almost any data tool
  • XML - structured data for integration with other software
  • iCal (.ics) - for importing bookings into calendar applications like Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar
  • PDF - for printable reports and invoice summaries

iCal export for calendar sync

The iCal export is particularly useful for sharing booking information outside MIDAS. You can export a filtered set of bookings as an .ics file and import it into any calendar application. For live calendar sync rather than one-time export, the optional Data Feeds addon provides a continuously updated iCal feed URL.

Invoice exports for accounting software

Invoice data can be exported in formats compatible with QuickBooks Online, Sage Business Cloud, Xero, Clear Books, KashFlow, Zoho, and QuickFile - letting you pull financial data directly into your accounting system without re-entering it.
