Custom Booking & Client Fields
Custom Booking and Client Fields in MIDAS
Standard booking forms capture the essentials - room, date, time, client, attendees. But most organisations have additional information they need to collect that doesn't fit neatly into those defaults. MIDAS lets you add custom fields to both booking forms and client records, tailored to what your operation actually requires.Types of custom field
Custom fields can be configured as:- Single-line or multi-line text
- Numbers
- Checkboxes (yes/no)
- Drop-down lists with predefined options
- Range sliders
- URL fields
- File uploads (self-hosted editions only)
Controlling field visibility
Custom fields have visibility settings that control where they appear. A field can be visible to all users, or restricted to specific user accounts. You can also configure whether a field appears in search results, on printed booking sheets, and in the public-facing booking request form - useful if some fields are internal and others are relevant to the client.Enabling and disabling standard fields
Beyond custom fields, you can also enable or disable the standard booking fields that MIDAS ships with. If your facility doesn't need to track attendee numbers, for example, that field can be turned off so it doesn't clutter the booking form. Fields can be set as required if they should always be filled in.Custom client fields
The same approach applies to client records. Standard fields cover name, organisation, email, address, and phone. Custom client fields can add anything else relevant to your organisation - membership number, account type, contact preferences, or anything else you need to capture and refer back to.→ Start a free trial and add custom fields that reflect your real booking workflow.
