In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to reset a forgotten password.

So if you come to log into MIDAS and can't recall your password, you'll see beneath the login button there's a "Forgot your password?" link.

If you click this, check your email address there is correct, and then click "Reset my password"

as you'll see MIDAS has then sent me an email containing details of how to reset my password.

Now this email will contain a link which is valid for the next two hours by default.

This is configurable, but by default it's two hours, and all I do is click that link.

MIDAS will then email me once more with a temporary password, allowing me to log on at which point I'll be asked to pick a brand new password.

Now if you don't receive this email from MIDAS with your password reset link, do check your spam and junk filter in case it's gone in there by mistake.

If you've not configured your MIDAS system to send emails obviously you'll never receive this email in which case you'll need to speak to your MIDAS administrator.

That's any user in your MIDAS system who has access to administer users and permissions, and they'll be able to reset your password for you.
