Web Browser

What is a Web Browser?

A Web Browser - or just "browser" - is the name given to a piece of software that enables you to view web pages on your device.

A web browser communicates with a web server, negotiating a connection, handling security, and returning data served by the web server.

Examples of popular web browsers include:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Opera

Many web browsers are cross-platform and are available for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, phones, smart TVs, and in-car entertainment systems.

Our browser-based MIDAS room booking system is supported on all major browsers.
