Sync to Google & Outlook Calendars

Syncing MIDAS Bookings to Google Calendar and Outlook

Your MIDAS bookings are more useful when they're visible alongside everything else on your calendar. Rather than switching between systems to see what's coming up, you can sync bookings from MIDAS directly into Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, or any other calendar application that supports iCal subscriptions.

How it works

The optional Data Feeds addon generates a live iCal feed URL for your bookings. You subscribe to this URL from within your calendar application - the same way you would subscribe to a public calendar or a sports fixture list. The calendar application periodically checks the URL and updates its local copy, so new bookings and changes made in MIDAS appear in your calendar without any manual export or import step.

Filtered feeds

You can create multiple data feed URLs with different filters applied. One feed might show all bookings across all rooms. Another might show only bookings for a specific venue, or only bookings of a particular type. This lets different people subscribe to the feed that is relevant to them without seeing information they don't need.

One-way sync

The sync is one-way: MIDAS pushes data into your calendar, not the other way around. Bookings are still made and managed in MIDAS. The calendar subscription is a read-only view of that data.

RSS feeds

The same Data Feeds addon also generates RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds, which can be used to display upcoming bookings on a website or intranet, or consumed by any application that reads RSS.
