Complete History For Each Booking
Booking History in MIDAS
Every booking in MIDAS carries a complete record of what has happened to it since it was created. This isn't just a log of who made it - it captures every modification, with details of what changed and when. What the history records
The booking history shows each change event as a timestamped entry. It includes:- When the booking was created and by which user account
- Each time the booking was modified, with a record of what was changed - date, time, venue, attendees, resources, notes, or any other field
- When confirmation emails were sent
- When reminders were set
- When the booking was invoiced
Why it matters in practice
Booking disputes happen. A client claims their booking was for a different time. A staff member says they never moved the booking. A room was apparently double-booked but the system shows no conflict. In all of these cases, the booking history gives you a clear, timestamped record of exactly what occurred and when, with the user account responsible for each action. It is also useful for less contentious situations - checking when a booking was last modified before contacting a client, reviewing whether resources were added at the time of booking or added later, or confirming that a confirmation email was sent.
Relationship to the audit log
The booking history shows the history of that specific booking. The system-wide audit log covers all activity across all bookings, users, and settings. Both are available to administrators; the booking history is also visible to any user who can open the booking record.→ Start a free trial and check the booking history on any booking you create during the trial.
