Cloud Hosted Software

What is Cloud Hosted Software?

"Cloud Hosted" is a software distribution model in which a third-party provider hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the internet.

It is also sometimes known as SaaS or "Software as a Service."

Examples of cloud hosted software include customer relationship management software, enterprise resource planning software, and accounting software.

Cloud hosted software has become more popular than traditional on-premises software for a number of reasons:

  1. Accessibility: Cloud hosted software can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, making it more convenient for users who need to access the software from different locations.
  2. Cost-effective: Cloud hosted software typically requires less up-front investment, as customers only pay for what they use and do not have to worry about the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading hardware and infrastructure.
  3. Automatic updates: Cloud hosted software providers typically handle software updates, security patches and new features. This reduces the burden on IT departments and minimizes downtime.
  4. Integration: Cloud hosted software providers often offer integration with other popular software and services, which makes it easier for businesses to integrate different systems and workflows.
  5. Data security: Cloud hosted software providers typically have strict security protocols in place to protect customer data, which can be more secure than on-premises software that may not receive regular security updates.

Our MIDAS Room Booking Software is available in both "Cloud Hosted" and On-Premises editions.
